Eswachh participates in Amrit Mahotsav organized by SDMC

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of it’s people, culture and achievements

This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India thus far in it’s evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister Modi’s vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Eswachh became part of this mega event by taking part in the event organized by South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), this event was organized by SDMC at sector 22&23 of Dwarka, Eswachh team along with other NGO like E Shree and ITC WOW educated the residents and the shop owners about the importance of segregation and composting of wet waste. By Composting the wet waste the nation can solve 50% of the waste/ garbage issue. With source Segregation happening the ragpickers don’t have to work in a hazardous environment & they can live a respectable life.

The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an intensive, countrywide campaign that will focus on citizenparticipation, to be converted into a ‘Janandolan’, where small changes, at the local level, will add upto significant national gains.

Eswachh is into end-to-end waste management and offers services from Door-to-door collection, segregation, composting & Material recovery. Eswachh is also consulting Cities & ULBs & State govt on waste management using technology. With the use of technology, the ULBs get transparency and productivity but they are also able to see the audit trail of the waste. They are able to identify the residents and outlets that are not doing source segregation.

The residents who attended the event said more such events should be organized to do awareness and change the behavior of the country to segregate the waste at source.
